Chick growth?

Postby dariun » Sat May 19, 2012 10:50 am

Hi all

I noticed something weird last night about my chick growth in my new coop.

The eggs are under a hen and the %age completion (I use the Ender client without the most recent update) and one egg reached 100% but would not hatch and another hit %40 something. I checked back a few hours later and noticed the %age dropped on both eggs. Today when I woke up and checked the eggs were at 41% and 12% quite a big drop from last night.

Any idea why this could be or have I just never noticed that eggs hatched when they reach 0%?.........

Thanks!

They start at 100 and go down, contrary to logic, think of the % as the amount of time left rather than progress to hatching
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...

ahhh, thanks!! bit weird that one egg climbed from 80% to 100% when I checked once. Bit weird that it's a bit backwards but makes sense now! Thank you!

Doesn't matter as long as they are in a 2x2 space that is completely free from what I can tell.

If you're just wanting chicken meat, take the chicks, drop them on the ground, and punch them. You then get a full grown chicken without the wait.

thanks for the info :)

I arrange the chicks so that they are forced to grow in one direction just incase and yup I've punched many chicks to get full grown chickens! Strangely my alt gets happy when he murders chicks and chickens...

Punch Chickens in general and any character you punch with grows happy. Funny how that is.

Also: If you're around a (just human?) Skeleton, then your happiness will decrease.

But, as I said. Happiness has no effect whatsoever..yet.

Actually, that's just fighting in general that makes your character happier.
