Terraforming in general discussion

Postby Sleep » Sat May 19, 2012 4:02 pm

I felt like this was really needed, since i keep having a shitton of questions about terrains and biomes in general.

My current question is how you would terraform a mudflat into forest terrain, i am suppousing you first plant grass, and then plant?
Or is there a diffrent way, like spreading from forest to mudflat

I believe you would have to grass the area first and then plant trees that normally grow in a forest so that they can spread their native biome. I do not believe they will spread their biome to mudflat so it is a necessary step to grass first. Trees only spread their biome while they are growing. The moment that they reach their final stage they stop spreading their native biome.

No. It spreads when they're hit by a decay tick, which causes them to grow. Stunting them would prevent them from getting any more growth hits.
