Primary Archer Equipment

Postby SpriG » Sun May 20, 2012 2:48 pm

What armour and equipment should someone use for a primary archer(mainly used for shooting at people)?
What armour is worth the agility hits?
And lastly what is better to use, a q40 ranger bow or q90 wooden bow?

This all depends on a couple things such as, are you fighting by yourself, or in a group, your MM, how many people you are fighting, constitution.

Personally if your are fighting in a group I would still wear some armor just so I wouldn't be chased and killed easily. Now if your behind walls, thats a different story where you could get away with a complete ranger set. An Rbow you have to remember if takes 3x longer than a wooden bow to charge, and a high q wooden bow imo can easily beat an r bow in terms of skirmishing, it just takes tactics all around to not get killed as a ranger.

Always remember that the leech is the most important part of the whole equipment... : ^)

I mainly run around solo, mainly one on one skirmish and hunting animals, MM of 85, UA 60, Con 35, Agi 40. So I'm still developing. With metal armour and soldier gauntlets doesn't this reduce you agility by a massive chunk? I guess the pic is showing hi end equipment for high end stats.
I have a q40 bow and same bone arrows, and a shut ranger bow q16 so I'm sticking with the wooden one right now.
What about a cut throat curass? Agility boost, some armour?

Agility only affects how much MINIMUM damage your opponent does to you with ranged via (Opponent's Perc) VS. (Your Agility).
If you want to be an archer, MM and perc is what you want.

I recognise the equipment, except what rings are you wearing?

Occult iirc
My son, walk not in the way unarmed; because thou knowest not when thy enemy shall come upon thee.
