Destroying homes

Postby renatorrussano » Wed May 23, 2012 8:35 pm

You can destroy houses large and small with the ram or some other way than the ax? I'm revamping my small town and need to remove two houses of the way, as the ram is a little expensive for me I decided to ask before building it.

Sorry for english I'm Brazilian and my English is horrible.

Grateful :D

Destroying houses just requires doing more damage than their damage soak value. Log cabins have a soak value of 20 so you only need to have 441 strength to break it by hand. 400 strength to break it with a stone axe, 361 with a pick axe, and 289 with a sledge hammer. A battering ram will also work.

These are pretty much your only options unless you are willing to keep the houses outside of your personal/village claim and allow them to decay over time.

Then it will be a long journey, since I only have 20 strength lol.

If you use a battering ram then you can break the log houses just fine.

The problem is that I was fishing and left the key to my gate in a palisade box inside the boat, among other things great that I had, but unfortunately I forgot the rule and left the game while on the water, so when I came back I remembered that the key was in the box and noticed that he was lost in the river, unable to move.

With that came home with "travel" and now I can not leave, I have at home is enough to survive, have a good crop, but I'm not well, force or ram, or equipment to do it, so I'm arrested.

Is there a way out?

Sorry for the english, I'm a Brazilian dependent on the google translator.
Hugs,

That is why you should never, ever leave with your key. Always have a key alt to open/close the gate as soon as you move in/out until you can get a village idol up and use crossroads. I suppose now is too late for you, but at least you learned a valuable lesson.

If you don't have the resources to build a ram, as I think you mentioned on your post (not sure if that's what you meant), you don't have too many options. One option would be to start afresh (which I assume you wouldn't want). Another one is to make another character, find your way to your settlement by boat or whatnot, gather the resources with him for a battering ram and open your pali up from the outside with it. Another possible option is to try and get someone to go there and bash it for you. It can be dangerous, though, since you can never know who to trust, unless you have high level friends.

Good luck with it all.
