Steps to make the highest quality apple tree possible

What should I do to make the highest quality apple tree possible?

What quality of items and what stats/skills are taken into effect?

Step one. (from Pratice and others teaching me)
Find Good Qul Clay. (base 10 if unable to)
Build kiln out of said clay,
Collect ten more clay and make treeplanters pot.
Burn Pot in Kiln with Branches...
At best do this 4 times...

Step two.
Collect Flax/Hemp (apparently Hemp grows faster)
Collect 8 Fibers.
Cut down a Tree, making Blocks from one Log, Planks from the other.
Build a HerbTable.

Step Three.
Find Good water and Good soil. (Base 10 if unable to)
Fill Pot with 4 Soil 1 water
Eat an Apple. (personally Muls might be better seeing as you can use them in Silk production)
Add core to pot
Put Pot on table.
At best do this 4 times...

Step Four.
After so many hours IRL the Pot will either Sprout a Sapling or have a dead Sapling, empty the dead. (Plant in under 8hrs IRL or Sap will die)
Plant Sprout in an area that is at least 3x3 open area, (Paving does not matter)
Leave for around a week or so...

Step Five.
Make a new Planters Pot while burning with the new Tree Branches.
Repeat Step three when this tree Bares Fruit.
Repeat Step Four.

Step Six.
Repeat step Five till end of world.

The act of planting trees is time consuming, always be on the look out for better clay to rebuild your Kiln and Planter's Pot.

Now I would like to know what are the role of the stats and skill levels on the whole process and when does thing start to cause effect.

Where can I get the highest Q Clay?

No doubt people know of very high clay, however you would likely have to trade for it, i think there are some threads in the trading subforum that might be selling high ql clay

High quality soil and water would also be useful. And I'm told the quality of the herb table matters.

its the pot, the table, the water, the soil, the cone that matters. if you want the best, only use the best.

So I would have to eventually cut down the planted tree and use its blocks and boards to rebuild the herbalist tabble in order to increase the quality of the next pot?
