Have you "discovered" all the materials needed to make it? The two most apparent items required which you probably haven't discovered would be a bucket or rope.

I have the bucket and i know how to make rope but i havnt made any yet. is that why?

Yeah, there's your problem.

You also need to make sure you've made a dowsing rod, it's needed for wells to show under the build menu. You also need one anyways to locate a water source to make a well.

Make the rope and you should be all set

Some resources like the search tool and the wiki may make your search for information a much faster experience without waiting on response time (you kinda caught me when I check the forums ). response time wasnt really a big deal i spent alot of time playing building things and forgot about it for some time hahaha
