Damage to Palisade

Postby Chaosshield » Wed Oct 14, 2009 2:01 am

Okay, I don't get this. I have much more than 70 strength, and a stone axe.

I have been hitting a palisade for hours, that was already like 3/4 decayed, so it should have 375 health. I should be doing at least 2 damage to the thing right?

So how, after an easy 200 hits, has it not gone down at all, the walls wree made with 10ql logs, if that means anything.

That was Stone walls, I thought. since they have a 10 damage soak. Palisades are supposed to be 6

It appears the devs made an unannounced change that made palisades much harder to damage. I found myself getting nowhere with what used to be quite adequate strength, and had to put on a bear cloak to get anywhere, when a friend asked me to remove the wall segment he'd built in the wrong place.

Str 80+ & pickaxe is not enough.

Str 120+ & pickaxe went through more tea than I used to need with str 80+ & pickaxe.

Interestingly, a few weeks ago someone with str 70-80 (I think) and pickaxe required snuff, and took quite a while, but managed to get through 2 palisade segments. The change must have happened since that time.
