I'm new to HnH and i was wondering how many alts do i need? I know I need one for mining and one for farming/key but what else?

Whatever you want. You don't need alts, but it's easier to do some tasks with them.
And with keys, it's always better to have the keys on alts that aren't important. NEVER log them in and have them AFK.
