A problem?

I wanted to make that fox hat thing, so dried the hide of my first kill; the took it off and got the lp for discovering it. I then realised I didn't have leatherworking, so I bought it but the fox hat isn't an option to make. Do I have to rediscover a fox hide. ):

Craft -> Cloth Making -> Hats -> Fox hat :D
