I find myself in a bit of a predicament. After taking a several-month hiatus and restarting Haven and Hearth, I've come to a point where I'm not sure what to do next. While I have experience with early-game shenanigans, what comes next eludes me.
I have significant Perc*Exp to find fantastic curios--Peculiar Flotsam are a beast. I have significant Marksmanship that I can fell foxes and bears with little issue and no great amount of patience. I have racks and racks of WWWs drying so that I can get started with crops, and my Farming raised so that they are of decent quality. A palisade is in construction to wall my hermitage in. But without plant fibers or straw, I am stuck until I can harvest them and do something with them. Waiting for wheat to grow is like watching paint dry.
The question is, what do I do? Once I harvest the necessary straw, do I construct beehives to get wax to make hardened leather so that I can mine? Do I go for a chicken coop first? And how dire is a Herbalist's Table? Should I be focusing more on finding and killing a bear?
I suppose it's silly to complain that there are so many avenues to take that I don't know which to pick. What, in your opinion, would be the next logical step for progression?
