Hey,

I have a question about the requirements for mining.
I have a mine with tin, and my friend was mining there (claiming to have 102 STR) and it was fine.
However, I am doing it and I have 104 STR but for me it's "Slightly too hard". It has been like this for the last 10 (or so) STR points.
Whats the deal? Can it be the Pickaxe / Stone axe difference? Or can it be the quality between the tools? He said that didn't matter, but I guess it has to.

I hope you can help me with my problem.

The quality of the tool used makes a HUGE difference. Make sure you have an as high as possible tool if you mine, but prefer pickaxe (unless it's really really really low quality so you can't mine anything lol).
So yeah, your tool is probably slightly weaker than his tool.

Slightly? It's a weak thing. I either have a Q13 stone axe or a Q15 pick axe :) . He had a Q100 stone axe.
But I can't make them myself! Any tips?

Trade for one. Ql in the 100's isn't as expensive as you might think.

Sure, but how do I prevent getting killed?
I mean, it's not like I have a brick wall around and 5 alts :).
I have a pearl but it's worth more than a Q100 axe, I'd trade, but don't want to get killed for it you know

Check AfO for reliable traders then. None of them want to kill you for a pearl. The damage to their reputation would be substantially more valuable of a loss than anything they could gain robbing you.

^ This. I don't know a single trader who would tarnish their reputation over a pearl and a q100 pickaxe. Botching trades is a good way to get everyone to hate you.

Alternatively check out this thread viewtopic.php?f=30&t=28822, maybe there's still some pickaxes left.
