Breaking a brick wall or let it decay?

Postby Feedzor » Mon Aug 06, 2012 2:33 pm

Hello.

I have recently found a place where it's not claimed but there is a brick wall. It's abandoned for sure, but there is some things that I would like to take.
I have waited a week, but the brick wall does not decay, is this correct?

Also, I don't have that much STR, With cape and boosts I can get to 130 or so. I assume it's not possible to break it with that. How about a ram?
How much STR would I need? Please don't start about "when 5 people attack together" because I don't have 4 friends to do it with.

The most important though, doesn't a brick wall decay? Since the stone mansion is decay-ing and the palisade and everything around it is falling apart.
I couldn't find one slightly red piece in it.

Thank you!

Are you sure it is abandoned? Many places seem to be this way but in actual fact are not. Maybe give it another week to be on the safe side?

I've been there many times since the past 3 weeks and it's always the same. The houses are all breaking down so is everything else except for the brick wall.

2601 STR if you are gonna break it alone with a ram. So if you're gonna do it, get somebody help you. And yes, brickwalls DO decay.

It's not plausable to break it alone, as you will need 500+ strength with a ram.
Decay is random, and brick walls take a long time to decay.

Okey,
I wonder, how are 4 people supposed to break one small part of a wall? There is no space to stand around it with 4 characters?

Thanks

You don't "stand around" the wall, you "stand around" the ram.

Oh i see, so you use one ram with all characters?

Do all characters need much STR? Since I have a friend with about 120 STR, me 120 STR but we don't have more 'STR' characters. regulars we do.

The formula here is :
Damage = sqrt(STR) + sqrt(STR) + sqrt(STR) + sqrt(STR) + 20 - Target soak

Damage you and your friend deal to brickwall should be :
sqrt(120) + sqrt(120) + 20 - 70 = -30
Both of you have 120 STR, ram adds 20 damage and brickwall soak value is 70.

Not enough. :geek:

Correct me if I'm wrong. :P

Either you both would need 676 STR or a group of 4 all with 169 STR. And this is for 1 tick per hit so it would take a long time.

If the wall is unclaimed it will decay eventually.
