clay cauldron question

well ive been making bone glue with said cauldron and ive only been getting q8 glue from it when the bone quality is 10-16 and i use branches as fuel and those are q10 and the cauldron itself was made with q12 acre clay so im confused why its making q8 glue...i could use some clarification here

Probably because of this :

Compare the a normal Cauldron a Clay Cauldrons differs in that it:

* halves the quality of the water inside it.
* takes one tick (the length of time equal to one branch) to heat up enough to be used. (5 minutes, 33 seconds).

asides from the heat up time of the clay cauldron, the other downside to using one is it's quality is always considered 0 when calculating things made in it.
