I was hunting a boar, and They have about 280 health, but I only saw about 150 damage done, do I still do damage if the numbers don't appear?

Also the red bar at the top, does that affect the damage I will deal or not? Should I stay waiting for it to get to 100 or can I just fire when my accuracy is high enough. Also WHY CAN'T I FIND BEARS!?

You only do as many damage as shows up.
The red bar is strictly for Unarmed and Melee combat.
Your bear problem is just your own bad luck.

Thanks, but how come boars keep popping off when I do a lot less then 280 damage? Edit: I'm probably just miscalculating.

My client doesn't display the last hit ever, maybe that's what you're missing?
Also, it is possible someone else started the boar kill, and didn't finish or that the boar isn't the max boar level (7), but something lower, which would result in a lower HP (I think it's 40*level).

If I go to get more stones and it deaggros will it regen it's hp?

No, it won't regenerate HP, go get more stones as many times as you need.

Also the Dis village claim is absolutely gigantic; it has arms in many supergrids, so that will likely not help you figure out where you are at all.

by popping off do you mean its dead or it ran away and disappeared/despawned? if you can shoot it for 150, 2 shots would be 300 damage. so if you shot it once for 150 then shot it again and it died thats likely your 280 damage(kill shot damage never shows). if you shot it for 150 and it ran away, then you have to chase it. they don't just stand there and let you kill them when they're hurt.
