How much strength do i need to destroy a HF?

I recently started a new character, made a claim and realized theirs a hearth fire on it. Its in the way of were i want to build and i don't want it on my claim anyway. I have about 30 strength on my character right now and just a stone ax for destroying. How much strength will i need to destroy the hearth fire?

im pretty sure you are able to destroy HF's

Nope, I've tired, bar doesn't even go down at all.

A hearth fire is destructible (soak=5dmg), but has a lot of hit points, and therefore will take a long time to break.

even a char with a low q bearcape and low q pickaxe needs to drink 2 times before HF turns red a bit ... a char without cape and stoneaxe just needs much longer and has to drink more often...

25 STR with a stone axe.

It'll just take you forever to do.

ok thanks guys, as soon as i find a bear ill have a bear cape so it should make it even easier then.

I can usually do it just wearing a bear cape when I make a new character with an axe on
