Do plows have quality?

Postby TheG4MER14 » Tue Sep 04, 2012 4:03 am

Just wondering if a basic wooden plow has quality, maybe based off of the ql wood used and how high you're carpentry is. And if they do what does it affect? Plow speed, how fast you get tired, maybe the ql of the plants planted on the plowed ground, etc. I looked at the Ring of Brodgar wiki and it said nothing about Quality. Basicly just wondering out of curiosity. If they do i need to make new plows ;) .

They do not and it doesn't affect anything. =)

the only items in your 'build' menu that quality matter are items used to craft other items. so only worry about quality for items used for crafting with exceptions for:
-alloying crucible where quality doesn't matter
-chairs and tables which give higher fep bonus at higher quality
-coin presses(if anyone ever actually uses those)

and maybe a few more items that I can't think of right now...but if wiki doesn't mention quality it usually doesn't matter for that item.

way back in the day we had a theory that building a plow of higher quality materials would make it last longer in between repairs. So we built higher quality plows, and i remember it seemed to work that way - though it's just as likely to be confirmation bias. we never really took measurements or made it into a scientific endeavor to find out exactly if it's true or not, maybe that would be an interesting experiment for someone who is really interested to know :D

I dare to assert that this is not true.
