Silk Production?

Postby MocroGunz » Fri Sep 14, 2012 5:44 am

Staz keeps telling me nature/industry affects quality of the silkmoth eggs.
Everytime I bring it up, she gets angry at me and "rages" and then says good night.

I've read the wiki for silk production multiple times, and not once have I found where it indicates nature/industry beliefs affect the quality of silkmoth eggs. Yes, I do see that it has an effect on how many silk filaments you receive when unwrapping the cocoon (which isn't affected before hand by the beliefs of your toon), but other than that the only thing that actually affects the quality is the herbalist table, mulberry leaves, and the parents average quality.

Here is the link to the Ring of Brodgar Wiki I am using; I'm sure you could have easily found it on your own but that would waste time.
http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Silk

Staz argues and argues with me until she can't argue with me, because I don't "give" in and she gets frustrated. So, for all those people that are doing well in the silk industry, does nature/industry belief affect the actual quality egg of the silkmoth and the silkmoth eggs, or is it the mulberry leaves, herbalist table, and the average quality of the parents?

I hate when she gets mad at me, because I'm only trying to help. I'm not disrespecting her authority as an adult against my teenage authority. I would be glad if I was wrong, or right. I just want to see what others say about the silk production, and how it works to see what is best for us.

Please help :)

EDIT: I think I might have posted this in the wrong section :s

As far as I know, it'd only matter when boiling cocoons.
People are capable of kindness angels can only dream of, yet can commit sins that put demons to shame.

Staz keeps telling me nature/industry affects quality of the silkmoth eggs.

I've been putting eggs on tables by various characters (including industry ones). I did not notice any differences.
Tables and leaves (hard) are cap for the q. The main selection comes from the breeding best of best and the eggs from them.

What? When you fell on your keyboard Criminal Acts was toggled and then when you were picking yourself up you pushed your mouse onto the floor where your cat pounced on it and caused your guy to steal someone's cheese? That happens to me all the damn time.

Borka love, I will see your kiss on the cheek and raise you one. (winks)

And, please Mocro if you are going to post a private matter on a public forum at least have the debate actually correct. First of all, it was mostly a conversation between you and Kug and not myself. I merely chimed in when you were mistaken on a point in the discussion. Secondly, we have all read the wiki same as you but we have not started dealing with silk mostly due to the fact that I am the only Nature person in the village at present time. And being so, keeping up with the demand for food; curios, farming, animals, making bricks, trees, etc...takes up much of my time. As well as coddling you at every turn, has left little time to start a new "honey do list". If you would like to help in the raising of the silk moths (the entire process is was what we were referring to) we have all said, "then by all means please change yourself to nature instead of full industry and go for it". I would greatly appreciate the assistance. And we were merely stating that we would get more filaments by my harvesting them and not you. So, I am totally lost by your stating I was arguing with you. But again, this is a private matter for within the village and not here.

I absolutely agree with everyone's comments in regards to this post. As it is exactly what we were saying in our private village chat. Thank you all very much for your much appreciated comments. ~~Virtual Hugs Everyone~~ :*

mmmmhhmmm, we only have like 6 members but couple of them have several alts so, keeping up with keeping everyone fed and with LP is a challenge to say the least. And I don't bot...I enjoy doing it and I am providing for the village. It makes me happy. And lets the boys do their "fun" stuff ie go kill animals, explore and forage further off than I go. (I rarely leave the village..tooo much to do daily) :) I get a kick of watching the plants, trees and animals get better bit by little bit. 8-)
