Destroying hearthfire

Hi hearthlings,

Can someone tell me how long it will take to destroy a hearthfire with 45 str using boar snuff. That means i'll have like 15 seconds before my str goes back to 20.

Also, this hearthfire, which happens to block a cave entrance, is located on a personal claim (i'm not the owner but just have acces to it) which i apparently cannot destroy unless i have the required skill(s). I believe it's only rage but can someone correct me if i'm wrong?

If your claim you only need enough Strength - Bearcape, Talsman and Pickaxe helps

A hearth fire is destructible (soak=5dmg), but has a lot of hit points, and therefore will take a long time to break.

If you attempt to destroy a Hearth fire that is not on your personal claim, then you will then leave the Vile Vapor of Vandalism scent.

Without 25 Strength + Stone Axe you can't break your hearthfire, 36 Without any tools. There's no way for you to selectively spawn near your friends. Please address questions like this in the Simple Question threads.

Also, once you use snuff and start destroying, you don't have to worry about it wearing off as long as you don't move or run out of stamina IIRC.

a little mix up there, even with full rights on a claim if you're not the owner you can't destroy a hf without vandalism.

if you're going to try anyway I'd suggest using as many str buffs as you can get before starting, wine/beer(2nd level), and a few points toward barbarism(if not full barbarism) along with Borka's suggestions of snuff, talisman, and bearcape. remember str bonus from snuff = snuff quality so work on your survival to get better tusks and try to farm better poppies. as far as actual amount of time it would take, with 45 str and a stone axe you'll do 2 damage per hit(6 damage from strength 1 from stone axe -5 from soak value) and with a hf having quite a bit of hp it could take quite a while(maybe around half an hour with the 45 str and stone axe)
