Is there a way to get into a protected land region?

Well, I am very new to this game and I know some of the basics. I just started out and I began walking to find a good place to shelter and make food. On the way I saw what looked like a village to me. When I tried to approach it, there was a pink box around it and it didn't let me through. Is there anyway to get past that and into the village? Thanks in advance

turn on criminal acts in the adventure menu to trespass on someone's land. some people do not take kindly to such actions though.

Pink means it's a personal claim - if you want to walk on it you have to as Sabi already told:

Red means it's a village claim that you can freely pass without turning criminal acts on...
