Bee Keeping

Postby EagleRunner » Fri Dec 21, 2012 7:19 am

So I am in an abandoned village...and I need wax to finish the mine (need to make hard leather).

So I got myself the bee keeping skill and went over to the farm...some of the hives are probably empty but others had honey flowing out of them.
So I clicked on both tipes but no options appeared.

There was no claim stake and I do have the skill.

So wat is the problem? Can I only harvest from my own hives or am I doing something wrong? (I am new to bee keeping oviosly)

Thanks in advance =)

The fact that the beehive has or not honey flowing out does not mean it has to have wax.
To see if it has wax right click it, if there is wax a gump will pop up saying "harvest wax", then u left click this gump and the wax will pop in yr inventory.
If you take the honey there will be less wax inside the hive. A single hive can only only hold up to 5 wax pieces.

Wax accumulates based on how much farming you are doing within the radius, so if the crops haven't been touched in awhile, you wont get any new wax.
