What's the IRC channel for H&H?

I ran a couple of different searches and couldn't find an IRC address. I assume there's a general use IRC for everyone? Rather than specific village IRC's

As someone who is not very knowledgeble about IRC's, if I download a client that works for my mac, will that be able to connect to the same channels as people running window's clients? (I recently got a mac and lost my old windows)

I think you have to type /server irc.synirc.net to conect on the server
then type /join #haven to join the channel.
