Respawning mountain curios

Postby Questman » Tue Mar 26, 2013 6:49 am

If I where to pick off all of the curios on a mountain, about how much time would I have to wait for most of the curios to respawn again? Assuming no one else forages the same mountain.
I want to be able to gather as many curios as I can in as little time as possible.
Thanks for your time.

IIRC, forageables are only spawned when a map is loaded. So nothing new will spawn there until those maps are unloaded from the server.

Maps are unloaded when no user has loaded them for a certain amount of time. The amount of time probably varies depending on server load and activity in that area.

The soonest I re-forage a mountain with success is about a half hour later.
Of another era.

Unloading a map takes 20 minutes, I'd say wait 25 minutes to be on the safe side.

Hmm, some mountains it takes me 30-40 minutes to cover... so I could just keep walking around them forever and keep getting new curious?

Same as these guys have said, so long as you allow the map to unload/re-load.

My mountain is close to two swamps and a large a heath so I do a round trip, takes about an hour and I forage the mountain twice, start and finish. Depending on other activity in the area it's mostly successful.
