How to start game on mac

When i hit "play" the download starts and it says: you need the java runtime enviorment to play. So i download it and when i hit "play" again it does the same thing. I use a mac and would really appreciate bieng able to play. thanks!

test your Java: http://java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
