Awe dang, I can't store milk in a barrel?

What can be stored in a barrel? Wine, vinegar, water, anything else?

OK, so is there any reason why requesting that a barrel can store/contain any liquid is out of order (even honey)?

Milk in buckets in baskets and chests everywhere is such a fuck up.

Yes, there are technical reasons that are a bit beyond what I can bother to explain in detail. I'm aware that it has to be fixed, but I haven't found a solution that I'm content with yet.
