Logging out when fighting

At the moment I'm trapped in next to a boulder and mouflons are all around me. I need to go but I can't run away because they'll kill me. I was wondering: if I log out will they still get to me, even though they can't reach me at the moment?

Here's what the situation is:

No problem. Also you could get an alt and lure them away. (But I'm pretty sure that they will come back to you)

If you're going to use an alt/friend, you'd be better off fencing the rest instead of luring them away. Far faster & safer.
