Chopping down a tree

I'm trying to chop down a tree, I have a stone axe and lumberjack skill, but everytime I try to chop down a tree, I get the message, you need an axe equipped to chop down a tree.

what do I do wrong?

1. Open equipment screen.
2. Open your inventory. It is the button underneath the equipment screen button.
3. If axe is in inventory, click it.
4. Click the human in the equipment screen.
5. Right-click tree.
6. Click "Chop"

What I meant is : Many people would visit that outdated wikia instead if no one mentions that there's RoB wiki.
