Reset: What to do ?

Postby Granny » Sat Jun 01, 2013 4:39 pm

Heya!

Thanks to all I have talked and interacted with during my time in this world. I didn`t think I would still be here to see a reset of the map, but here I am. I am not interested in competitive play, nor epeen-wars, nor do I seek power or fame. I just want a place where my characters are fairly safe (relatively speaking) and where I can tend to my virtual crop and have adventures foraging. I am the epitome of "care bear" - and damn proud of it too. I have no idea what and how this is going to be, so all of you that have been through this so many times before: What is your strategy? How do you decide where to settle? Do you plan to settle at all during those first weeks? I work full hours and do not really have so much time to play, is there any point at all for me to log in during the rush or should I just wait it out until everything has settled down a bit?

I am a bit sad leaving my characters and my beautiful hermitage behind, but a tad excited for the new world still.

Join a village if you aren't cut out for the hardcore location findng. I personally just go inland and build a place around a well, then travel for clay and junk.

Water q doesn't matter to me but it does to some people, and getting a high q water spring can come in handy later on in the game

high q clay, soil nodes are something you should really look for because they are very valuable.

You now have to have a high survival to find the high q nodes as everything foraged is going to be HARDCAPPED by your survival. So you need 98 survival to see that its a q98 node therefore making it immposible for anyone to node search and know q right off bat.
Check me out on Twitch! I stream many different games and it may seem my channel is inactive but that is because I am now restarting streaming! (Click the image :D)

Find a village, or enjoy your week 1 death.
Too legit to quit.

Oh yes, forgot about that. Those who do not have obligations and commitments in RL will have good times, as they will be able to up their survival fast. Think I`ll just settle in the first decent place I find, cause thats what I enjoy anyway. Maybe I even could try that whole village thing.
