Is there still a save way to hunt cows?

Just as the title says, is there a save way to hunt cows? In world 3 you where able to make a fence around a stone and then shoot the cows.
But today the cows will destroy those right?
I want to know if there is a save way to hunt cows without being in a boat or being into the water.

unless it was changed this world you can block aurochsen in with signs and sling them. this works for mouflon too, you need an actual fence for a fox, and deer bear and boars need a palisade.
