Does strength affect the effectiveness of punch

So, if I punch someone, then, my red bar will be depleted and I will be depleting his blue bar, if I have higher strength, do I deplete more of his blue bar? or does strength only affect the hp damage after I depleted his blue bar and cause hp damage?

strength only affects damage. UA/MC affects how much of his blue bar you deplete

Only UA affects how much blue bar you hit with punch.
Strength affects the health damage you do to him.
Death/Life slider affects HHP damage, pretty useless.
Martial/Peaceful all damage but keep it at Peaceful for the LA gain.
