Logging in where left off

What things can cause it not to let me log in where I logged off at? Does it ever do it for no reason?

Most of the time it's an object being in your way, in the same spot where you logged off. For instance, you're carrying a basket, you crash, then you try to log back in where you logged off, but you cannot because a basket is occupying your location.

Other times you will try and cannot because you may be in an area where you do not have Tresspassing permissions to be in. So if you're on another player's claim whose area you were thieving from, or more sourly, if your friend had both of your area's claimed and later took away the permissions from you, you won't be able to log in where you logged off...

Moreover, in that same case, if your friend destroys your hearthfire, you'll be given the only option to spawn in the wilderness.

Hope this helps you in planning where you log off. :)

I've seen this posted time and time again, but its not true. I know for a fact it isn't true from logging off in a friend's cellar then that friend being killed and me logging in there with no trespassing rights til I kinned the inheritted character...the rest is spot on, either a carried item or someone placed something where you were. if you were in a bed then your bed was destroyed and an item was placed there.

from my own experience, you can log in there until your friend inherits his/her char. once he/she inherits it you need to be kinned again to gain rights.
