How do I get my house back

Hello all, I just died outside my house killed by a fucking bear that appeared out of nowhere, my corpse is rotting with the keys on it, my alt is inside the pali. What the hell can I do to get my house back? Is my only option to restart the game? I hadn't a single high q. item but ive spent hours and hours in the pali, the houses and the stuff inside the house, help please!

never, ever, ever, never ever, ever leave your place with your keys...

as far as getting your gate there are a few things you can try, but I sort of doubt you'll get the keys:
make an alt, kin your guy in the palisade then walk and hope you're close.
*build a ram with your guy inside and ram your gate then make a new gate(you'll need 36 strength for this or an alt to help).*
ask a friend nearby to go to your body and get your keys(hopefully there is someone around you can trust a little.

It really sucks for players with PCs like that, and I get it's a real pain in the ass. But due to the game mechanics it's the only safe way to do it until village and Xroad porting.

you can use a double gate if you're having trouble with a key alt.

C=Cornerpost
G=Gate
_=random space with whatever

log key alt inside the double gate area, unlock/open the gate you need to get through, log in your character walk into the double gated area, log out your character, log in your key alt, close first gate open second gate. it takes more work than a key alt on another account, but it keeps your keys at home(where they should be), and your palisade locked up tight.
