Planting Broadleaf trees on grass

When planting Apple tree, mulberry or any other broadleaf tree's on a grass terrain, would the growth time be longer?

I know planting it in its specific terrain would have a shorter growth time, but these tree's also spawn on grass terrains.
Wanna know if it would be the same or it will take longer to grow i there ^_^
