How does a bonfire work?

Postby kris_hole » Wed Jul 03, 2013 5:59 am

I read the wiki, i'm still a bit confused. The active tables, is that every table within it's radius? do you feast AT the bonfire or at a table?

You feast at the table. The only thing you can do with the bonfire is to add fuel (you can do it while it is burning) or light it up to create the desired effect.

So i'm right in thinking, all the tables within the radius, when it's lit, will have a combined effect?

All the tables that have someone sitting at them and eating. Or maybe just sitting at them

You don't have to actually eat, just people at the table will suffice, I believe. Also if enough people are at the table, a bonus song will play.

I wish I can give you a precise number but I do not want to give an incorrect answer. I think it may be 5 or more but take my answer with a grain of salt.

Is there a minimum number of tables?

I tested i with just myself and my alt, inside the radius, lit the bonfire, sat both their asses down and there was no change to either table. What am I doing wrong?

I believe it is many other factors. How much charisma did char have when he lit bonefire, how much charisma other chars have, what q of wood did you use to light bonefire, then q of table+chair being used, etc.

Don't think at this stage you will see lot of difference, but in endgame if 2-3 more chars sit down behind good tables, bonefire of good q wood and good charisma, then you'll notice big difference.

Don't think wood quality matters.
