Why wouldn't it work? When you're into criminal activities, it's worth bringing it up. But it's something you wanna level a bit later than all the rest of your skills needed to do criminal activities, like unarmed or melee combat.
You need slightly more than x2 the detection score of a player to make your scents invisible entirely. It's useless unless you hardcore grind stealth and int specifically for this, and even then it's considered marginally useful by most players.

lol I've never had a character with more than 1 stealth! from all I've read of the system its my opinion that it is far better to put any LP you would have put into stealth into a stat that will help you survive a fight.
