How do i make clothing.

I am a newb and i didnt loot the chest so im buck naked so i need a guide or something on how to make clothing or atleast shoes beacuse i keep stepping on thorns.

Shoes are made with a block of wood. Discover some stuff, buy Lumberjacking, make a stone axe, chop down a tree, chop the logs into blocks, make clogs from the craft menu.

The fastest way to make new clothes is to get your exploration up so you can find stinging nettles, then get clothmaking (I think that's necessary) and make nettle shirt and pants.

Fastest and best. Nettle clothes also raise your survival and once you get past 10 it really helps a lot. But you need shoes as soon as possible, otherwise you'll start losing hp as you walk around on forest terrain.

Make an alt, spawn it to your HS and get the gear from him.

Find a swamp, get a leech (randomly attaches to your equipment over time) and put it in your "shoe" slot (bottom right position). You'll not need shoes ever again. More tips like this here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22742
