Is there a chance I'll find my stuff after I died?

I'm new to this game and I died by some random ass bear, will I ever find my friends and stuff again?

When you go to make a new character you can choose to "inherit" your old character (ancestor.) To do so just right click the runestone in the creation room and click the inherit button. You will respawn at your ancestor's hearthfire, and depending on where you died and how quickly you can get back, you can get your old stuff from your corpse. If too much time has passed, however, your character's corpse will have turned to a skeleton which drops everything it had equipped minus curios in its study.

If you had built a claim, also, you will inherit that claim and everything in it. If you were in a village, though, you'll have to get admitted again.
