When will the next server reset take place

Typically, they've averaged about 9 months, but a wipe has never really been an intended part of the game. Haven has just changed enough over the years or had critical hardware/software failures that have resulted in one.

But, oh, you don't have to worry about that. You'll most definitely lose everything much sooner than that, and probably multiple times, too, until you learn how to properly protect yourself.

Note: there is a massive re-write of the base code coming. I'm not sure what all will be involved, but it will definitely be a wipe. After that, hopefully there will never need to be another wipe again.

Salem proved one thing. Games like this are phoenixes, they need rebirth.

You see it in all the games of this genre (at least all the ones I've managed to find yet). wurm and a tale in the desert both revolve crucially around the opening of new fresh worlds and eventual shutdown of older ones.

Imma still play but it seems like a lot of work to put into the game then loose it all
Dont get me wrong I love this game and the ideia sounds nice so no player has a huge advantage over the other but they can work around that cant they?

by the time the next world reset takes place you will be screaming for it to take place, the world gets reset after 1 of two things
a) the system got fucked up beyond repair and a nuke is needed.
b) the game, as said before has " changed" way too much ( this is mostly a world just too old to be fun, superpowers are just SUPER powerful, trade become kind of pointless, armies of alts get out of control, weird shit.)

just don't worry about it, don't think about it, play, enjoy. i am 100% sure you will not mind the reset when it comes, after all, you just joined basically a new world.
