is this game safe to download?

is it 100% safe to download and install this game? mcafee said that this site may be risky and chrom worned me about downloading the game file, was this just some mistake? it the game completely safe to install and run?

If you stick to a known public client (enders being my personal fav) there have been no security breaches of any kind in Haven's history that I'm aware of.
Some people had a non-public client that was leaked and had keyloggers which were used to compromise the accounts and kill the players characters who used the client and weren't technically supposed to be.

The game can be played without downloading just by clicking the "Play" button on top of the page and opening the file instead of saving it.
Though Ender's modified client is not only totally safe (hundreds of players using it, and no complain whatsoever so far), but also adds a lot of useful tools for gaming experience.

That's still a download you realize. Just to the temp folder instead of a static folder.
Browser games are still downloaded as well, but school/work security treating them differently due to plugins being common tends to lead to this misconception.

Idk. I've heard this entire site is pretty dodgy.

This. I've heard of viruses from the game dev client that draw penises in random areas on your desktop.

Nonetheless, Ender's Client located in this thread should serve you well. It has no malware attached to it.
