Another Hunting Question

So last time I tried hunting, everything went to Hell. So now I'm making sure I have everything in order before I go out and try to hunt anything, even a lowly fox.

What skills/attributes/skill values are most important, and how high should they be before I start hunting?

I'd say 30 UA is enough for a fox if you know how to fight.

Alternatively, you can fight foxes with as little as 25 MC, with a decent axe and a shield. Just stay on the defensive and gain advantage at every chance you get.

Noob reminder: Ze shield, it does nothing if yoou don't set your maneuver to Shield.

I would say have at least 40 UAC if you're new to fighting. Also you should around 15-20 strength.

Make sure there is a river nearby in case everything goes to hell.

30 marksmanship will allow you to boatsling your first bear (shoot when aim is an 75%+ and animal twitches). Then you will kill another. Then, with sufficient surv (liek 50+) you will make your sling of q50-60+ out of leather and stripes of said bear. And you will craft your bear cape. And bear tooth talisman. Then you will roflstomp all animals, but deers with said 30mm. Also eat carrots to gain perception(will raise your minimum sling damage), although it will barely help against top game - they have too much agi.
UA/MC route is much, much harder.

ftfy -- expect it to take an hour at 5 MM, though. Make sure it's a river with a boulder on the opposite shore.
