Two-cornerpost Cave Wall

I have a pali around my cave entrance, and now I plan on brickwalling it, but had an idea for a more minimalistic approach and would like to know if anyone has had experience with something like it before. I mocked up an image of what I'm after:



You can only barely tell that the gate is in front of a cave entrance, but that's what I'm going for.
With two cornerposts and a gate, to block entrance/exit unless the gate is open. If someone exited the cave, they'd just get stuck in it, no? And wouldn't be able to escape? Does anyone know if this would work?

it would not work, they would get stuck in the gate, then they could use the 4th speed to get out.

Also anyone with a custom client can see everything.

you should make it double with 2 tiles between and brickwall the sides
