Tree not growing

These 2 trees we have here have been in stage 5 for 3 days straight now.

Can anyone tell me if something is too close or if it's something else, because we really need the wood.

1. you planted them into the wrong biome
2. smth's 2 near
3. it takes time 2 grow

1.Even if they are in the wrong biome, they should've been fully grown by now.

2.If 2 are too close to eachother, won't they grow? (are they too close in the picture?)

3.They had time to grow by now.

Growing to the final stage is a random event. So there is no way to tell when it happens. Could be in a day, or in a week.

If a tree, that's not in its final stage, is re-generating its resources (branches, etc). Its probably stunted, and will not grow any more.

Although that left tree-stump might be a little close to the top tree. but its hard to see without grid help.

If it is stunted once, but later on un-stunted, will it continue to grow then or will it stay at the stage it got stunted on?

Perhaps you misunderstand. Right biome = 3 days to grow to 5. wrong biome is 2 weeks.

Stunted = permanent damage and it stops growing, but it would have stunted before stage 5.

The final stage takes on average 2 weeks to reach after planting (but it's random and has a fairly wide spread of when it happens, some trees like apples are faster). It's not generally worth waiting for when we're talking about wood.
