Few, questions

Postby Catfoodbob » Mon Aug 12, 2013 11:24 pm

Hearth fires: Can someone track back to your hearth fire if you leave a trespassing scent, and the hearth fire is destroyed.
Quality: is there a chart of all the quality equations and how they affect things, or what items quality doesn't affect things
Wagons: are objects hit by decay while in a wagon

PLEASE ASK SIMPLE QUESTIONS HERE

1. No HF = no track tresp HF. IF you're 100% peaceful, break HF and use v-idol instead, so you can freely leave assault and trespass.
2. Doubt it.
3. No they're not.

Non-trolling, accurate answers here:
1-Summonable scents can be used to summon anywhere if the perp has no HF
2:For most items and food, the effect of the item is proportional to the square root of the quality times 10. Meaning that, compared to an item of quality 10, one of q40 will have a double effect, one of q90 triple, and one of q160 quadruple. Look for individual item's pages on the RoB wiki to get the gist of each's quality formula.
3:They aren't, but carcasses will still lose the meat on them.
"Our village is so big, you can hop on a wagon at the idol and ride it all day in the same direction, and you'll still be on our claim"
"Dang, are your wagons that slow?"

If I wanted to get a load of bull from you I'd have brought my cows for you to impregnate!

Non-trolling? Are you kidding me?
1. Trespassing isn't summonable, genius. And he said track, not summon. You can't track anything from an offline perp with trespassing scent, when he has no HF. I used to have no HF when I was completely peaceful for this reason solely.
2. He asked if there was a chart. I said no.
3. Carcasses also lose bones too. When you go to take them out of boat or wagon or whatever, you get nothing above your head.
Who trolls HDI anyway?

Not a chart, but about everything that there is known about quality and the equations that are known. http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Quality

Some are completely identical (such as items that come out of kilns, ovens, and smelters all use the same formula), others can vary (such as recipes using the cauldron). There's usually enough consistency between the various groups that you don't need the formula for every item as long as you know how it is classified. That is where a chart might come in handy.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
