Question about a cave

I know caves can be valuable, but I'm not yet in a position to determine whether this one might contain a mine or not. Given that uncertainty, is it worthwhile to move my already semi-established claim to include an isolated cave entrance?

If you plan to make cheese at any time in the future, a cave could be very worthwhile. Unfortunately you can only claim the entrance of the cave. Nothing inside is claimed so if someone takes things out the cave you will only get a trespassing scent rather than a theft scent. If it isn't too much trouble to expand to encompass it, it might be a useful investment, although you can always use it for your cheese without claiming it, but you take a slightly greater risk that way.

You can put a fence around the entrance to force the thief to leave a vandalism scent. Just make sure there are no other entrances.

Caves actually don't hold much value at all, if they have a mine they hold as much value as the mine has and the fact that they spawn cave bulbs and can be used for cheese.
A cave is just another regional location you want to consider having near when building a place.
