Like can you dig it up and bring it to your land to grow plants and trees with it? and how.

Yes, you dig it, put it in a chest and transport the chest to your home.

Then you use it to plant seedlings (trees)

But you can not use it to improve the growth rate of your crops... topsoil is a great idea though and I don't quite recall anyone suggesting it before. It could go nicely with the fertiliser and irrigation suggestions.

Yes but how do you "use" it, if you drop it on the ground and stomp on it will it change the quality? I don't understand what I do with it.. and whats the best dirt quality?

You can put it in a treepot to grow better trees, you can not improve the quality of the groundtiles (except temporarily decreasing the quality by digging up too much).

Hey welcome to the game. :D Wish you enjoy it and have good luck playing.

Here some info about how we use dirt, as said up here it is used to improve trees quality and not to improve your lands quality.
We also use lands with nice quality soil to improve the quality of our crops, but this mainly happens when the world starts, because once the quality of the crop is higher than the soil it will not help us improve.

To answer the best dirt quality question, idk which has been the best discovered so far, I can say I have seen Q 104 in world 6 though.
Imho, nodes with around Q 60 are fairly common, and players that happen to own a node with Q 85/90 or superior can make nice profits selling soil.
