How Do I Use a Waterflask w/Bucket?

I feel dumb for asking this, but how do you do it? I've tried holding the bucket in my inventory and dropping it on the ground, but I can't right click to fill my waterflask either way.

you should left-click the bucket, then right click the waterflask, not vice versa.

You're pouring water from the bucket into the waterflask, not vice versa.

Left click the bucket so it's in your "hand" (floating on the mouse cursor). Then right click the flask, or other empty drinking container, to fill it.

Ah OK. Thanks guys. I was thinking of dunking the flask into the bucket like dunking it into a river or lake.
