I've been hearing a lot of stories about getting raided, stolen from, getting murded, etc. and a few mentions of the "Wild Windsown Northwest"
Is there any one place mostly safe from all these? and is the Wild Windsown Northwest even a thing?

Maybe its just me... Maybe. But I doubt it.
Oh, and one of my claims? Atop a q60+ soil spot.

Every time I do I log back into my accounts and check my 2 vclaims (which are atop of Pclaims, so they will not decay naturally), because I havent been playing for a while now. Just to see.
Get this. I started back up at the beginning of this world right? I never bothered in making a brick wall, because that is just too much work. Only a palisade, which should be screaming 'Raid me!' right?
Not one hole in the wall... No raid attempts, nothing. I live right on the river, something many players consider the worst idea ever. I live in the areas that are mapped, around several active villages (at least while I was actually playing the game they were active). Several villages around me had been raided, a few of them even posted on these forums with endless drama and whining.

I had not allied myself to anyone in the traditional sense, but those individuals I did meet I was a decent person to. I had went out of my way to interact with those surrounding me when I was active, and made trades which heavily favored those groups if I was able to ensure good relations.
Might have something to do with pretending to be a part of a large village too. The speed with which I made my initial claim and walls made a few people think I was in a village with more than 10 people... Too bad I burned myself out because of it.
