Run this game? Sorry but I feel like I'm trying everything

Hey guys, I guess my intro will be not being able to run the game.. but I really want to play so hopefully you guys can help me out.

I keep running into the connection refused: connect error.

I dont have a router just a directly connected internet connection so I don't understand why the hell it's not working.
I use 64 bit and I just uninstalled my java version

I've also been searching the forum and saw a few similar threads but maybe my OS and java versions are screwed up.

So I'm asking out of all of those friggin Java downloads shown throughout the jre7 oracle link I found throughout the forums, which one should I get?
I was thinking maybe the 39.57 mb windows x86 version, or I could try installing the 64 bit version.

don't rollback further than 7u40 - and keep the Java plug in inside browser disabled

I have no probs with latest (7u45) not with default, nor any Ender or fork ...

If you haven't already you might want to try a couple different clients, ive been screwing with the Union client but switch to the old Ark.su client occasionally. Both seem to be operating fine with the latest Java Update, and I am also running x64 Windows. The only other thing I can think of might be your firewall settings, make sure your allowing java through. Try running as administrator too.

Frankly trying to diagnose other peoples computer problems in forums is like trying to find q60+ water without well building.

You should use the same discussion thread as to keep the forums tidier. When the issue comes up again, it's a simple search instead of getting a dozen threads with no solid answer. If you have tried those various things, creating a new thread (and in the wrong forum) probably isn't going to help get an answer any faster, either.

Borka did list the oldest update you should use (think it was 7 u40). My suggestion would be u44 as, if I recall correctly, it was the one before everyone started having issues. If that doesn't work, try back one farther.

My apologies, tried uninstalling and installing again, exiting firewall and antivirus... tried enders client 32 bit and 64, still receiving the same connection refused: connect error and no i am not using a router... i'm just gonna give up and try in a week this is pissing me off, thanks for the help either way.
