Nub Question: Land Management

Can anyone help me out here? I'm not entirely sure what to do at this point. I've never actually made it this far without dieing or quitting yet haha. What are the controls I need to do to claim more land? (And how to confirm it) Sorry if this has been asked & answered before. I tried looking on the wiki and googling/youtubing.

Like, I know how to draw out the green tiles but I'm not sure how to let the game know I've confirmed it so I want to spend the LP on it.

Aye, it's a bug in Ender's. You need to download the update that is listed on the download page. Unzip it to whichever directory you put the original files and just overwrite when prompted.

I just downloaded the update. Now the claim works, but now I can't see the red circles around dangerous animals (boars & bears n stuff) and I almost freakin' died 'cause I was literally 10 feet away from a boar or so walking in its direction until I seen it. A few more seconds man, and I tried turning the thing on and off to make it work but it wasn't for some reason.

Also, before the update I couldn't hide trees and such, and still can't. Hmm.

for hidding you need to go into the options and then select the tab for hiding and select wht you want to hide. about the circles around animals, its in the + tab in the bottom right corner

I know how to do these things, they're just not working. Also my circle around animals isn't in the bottom right, that's weird.
Here's me showing the hiding doesn't seem to work.
