Client Tech Support

Postby jordancoles » Wed Nov 27, 2013 3:14 am

So I recently got a new computer and have moved my folder full of game clients to my new computer. From what I can tell, the folder is exactly the same as it was on my old computer only this time my client will not load when I use the run file.
I have a 64 bit operating system which was the same as before and I have the newest version of java installed. I followed the old path and my java appears to be in my x86 program files so I've changed the path but none of my clients will open for me.
When I click run the sys32 window opens but it quickly closes again. I put pause at the end of the run.bat file to see the issue but it made no difference.

Has anyone had this problem, and do you have a solution?

I seem to have fixed my problem for the most part. I deleted the 86 version of java and got jave 7 SE 64 bit instead. This let me log in but caused me to crash once, leaving me with this error message.

The second time I loaded the client I did not crash but that error message remains every time. Does anyone know the cause of this?

I'm sure it has something to do with the set permissions for editing the registry. Anyways, you can manually create the key and this will solve the issue.

Go into your Start Menu and type regedit into the search field.
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JavaSoft
Right click on the JavaSoft folder and click on New -> Key
Name the new Key Prefs and everything should work.

Worked, thanks :)

All of my clients are not functioning properly, can be closed now
