Tree Planting
Okay, I have one fired tree planters pot , four cubes of clay, one fir cone and a full bucket of water in my inventory. According to instructions all I have to do is put the clay, cone and water into the pot and then place it on my herbalist's bench and wait with crossed fingers.
But I can't get the materials into the pot. I've tried putting the pot on the ground and left click-right clicking the materials into it. I've tried putting it on the herbalist's table. I've tried putting the materials in when it's in inventory. For some reason I just cannot get the materials into the pot.
What am I doing wrong? I really, really want to plant trees.
What is the exact sequence of clicks needed?
Help, please.

Hold materials (clay, bucket, cone) and then right click on an empty pot when it is in an inventory (Yours or the table's). Should work fine. Might require a skill, though.

I've had this problem too. But i made a new pot and it worked.

Having them in your inventory should be fine.
You asked for the exact sequence of clicks: Left-click a piece of clay, then right click the pot. Do the same for each other piece of clay. Then left click the water bucket and right click the pot. Left click an empty 2x2 area in your inventory to sit the bucket down there. Confirm that the pot reads as having 4/4 soil and 1/1 water now. Then left click the pine cone and right click the pot. The pot should now be ready to be placed on the herbalist's table. It will take quite some time to sprout, but do not leave it there for too long after it sprouts or it will die, and you'll have to empty the pot and start all over again. (There's a chance it may die instead of sprouting anyways, but if you're nature-specced the chance is less, I think)
